14.8.6 What services are not appropriate to fund?

The Package is not intended to be income support. Services related to day to day living costs that could be reasonably expected to be paid by the recipient should not be funded. For example, bills or groceries (unless part of an approved capacity building activity) cannot be funded under the program.

The Package is also intended to complement existing services, so where a service can be accessed through another program, that should be the first preference.

Anything that is not legal or is related to an illegal activity should not be funded. For example, fines or court related expenses.
