The RMA has revoked and not replaced the previously issued SOPs for congenital cataract, with effect from 1 June 2015.  Following an investigation, the RMA has concluded that congenital cataract cannot be related to service.

The RMA Declaration and Reasons for Decision are available on the RMA Internet Site.  As a consequence of this decision by the RMA, under the VEA and the MRCA, congenital cataract cannot be accepted as service-related.
