The RMA defines this term to mean 'beta2-microglobulin amyloidosis secondary to long-term haemodialysis or continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis'.
Seek medical advice to confirm that the amyloidosis is due to one of these specific forms of dialysis.

36858 the veteran has had dialysis-related amyloidosis at some time.
14934 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and VEA service for rotator cuff syndrome.
14941 the veteran had dialysis-related amyloidosis before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
14935 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and VEA service for the clinical onset of rotator cuff syndrome.
14937 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and operational service for the clinical onset of rotator cuff syndrome.
or
14938 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and eligible service for the clinical onset of rotator cuff syndrome.
or
7334 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service.
7335 the condition under consideration permanently worsened.
14944 the veteran had dialysis-related amyloidosis before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.
14936 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and VEA service for the clinical worsening of rotator cuff syndrome.

or
14940 the veteran has established the causal connection between the dialysis-related amyloidosis and eligible service for the clinical worsening of rotator cuff syndrome.
Clinical onset and operational service [14937]
36860 the veteran's dialysis-related amyloidosis is causally related to operational service.

Clinical worsening and operational service [14939]
36860 the veteran's dialysis-related amyloidosis is causally related to operational service.
14963 the clinical onset of rotator cuff syndrome of side and site of the body occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the dialysis-related amyloidosis is causally related.
Clinical worsening and eligible service [14940]
36861 the veteran's dialysis-related amyloidosis is causally related to eligible service.
14964 the clinical onset of rotator cuff syndrome of side and site of the body occurred prior to that part of eligible service to which the dialysis-related amyloidosis is causally related.
