there is some evidence that the veteran has experienced, witnessed, or been confronted with a traumatic event or events which may be a factor in the veteran's attempt at or commission of suicide.20482 the veteran has experienced , witnessed, or been confronted with a traumatic event or events at some time.
20483 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the traumatic event and VEA service for suicide or attempted suicide.
20484 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the traumatic event and operational service for suicide or attempted suicide.

Clinical onset and operational service [20484]
the veteran experienced or witness, or was the veteran confronted with a traumatic event or events within two years immediately before the veteran attempted or committed suicide. on operational service, the veteran experienced or witness, or was the veteran confronted with a traumatic event or events within two years immediately before the veteran attempted or committed suicide. the traumatic event or events on operational service that the veteran experienced, witnessed or was confronted with within two years immediately before the veteran attempted or committed suicide was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
28811 — the veteran experienced or witness, or was the veteran confronted with a traumatic event or events as a consequence of an illness or injury which is identifiable.
