Preliminary questions [12016]
there is some evidence that a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of another person may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.28705 the veteran has had a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative at some time.
12440 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of another person and VEA service for the clinical onset of hepatitis B.
Clinical onset and operational service [12440]
there is evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration. the veteran had a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration.12442 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of another person and VEA service for recent infection with hepatitis B.
28695 — the veteran has established the causal connection between a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of another person on service and operational service for recent infection with hepatitis B.
on operational service, the veteran had a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration. the possible contamination of a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative on operational service within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
28696 — the veteran has established the causal connection between a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of another person on service and eligible service for recent infection with hepatitis B.
on eligible service, the veteran had a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration. as a causal result of eligible service, the veteran had a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity that may have been contaminated by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration.12460 — the probable contamination of a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration satisfies the requirements of the balance of probabilities Statements of Principles for hepatitis B.
the person whose body fluids may have contaminated the veteran's wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity on eligible service within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with the condition under consideration was later shown to be positive for hepatitis B.or
28707 the veteran has another significant risk factor for the condition under consideration other than the probable contamination of a wound, laceration or other injury or disease disrupting skin integrity by the body fluids of a person not shown to be hepatitis B negative on eligible service within the six months immediately before the evidence of recent infection with condition under consideration.
