Acute infection with a specified virus
Sensorineural hearing loss - Acute infection with a specified virus Factor
Suffering an acute infection with one of the specified viruses for sensorineural hearing loss may be relevant to the development or worsening of sensorineural hearing loss if the infection was suffered within the 30 days before the onset or worsening of the deafness. Therefore it is not necessary to investigate any of these common (mainly childhood) infections that were suffered outside of these time constraints.

Preliminary questions [14414]
14742 there is some evidence that an acute viral infection from the specified list of viruses in the Statements of Principles for sensorineural hearing loss may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.
14528 the veteran was suffering from an acute viral infection from the specified list of viruses in the Statements of Principles for sensorineural hearing loss within the 30 days immediately before the clinical onset or worsening of the condition under consideration.
14529 the acute viral infection from the specified list of viruses in the Statements of Principles for sensorineural hearing loss that the veteran suffered within the 30 days before the clinical onset or worsening of the condition under consideration is an illness or injury which is identifiable.
14530 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and VEA service for sensorineural hearing loss.
14537 the veteran was suffering from the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection from the specified list of viruses in the Statements of Principles for sensorineural hearing loss, within the 30 days immediately before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
14531 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and VEA service for the clinical onset of sensorineural hearing loss.
14533 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and operational service for the clinical onset of sensorineural hearing loss.
or
14534 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and eligible service for the clinical onset of sensorineural hearing loss.
or
7334 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service.
7335 the condition under consideration permanently worsened.
14538 the veteran was suffering from the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection from the specified list of viruses in the Statements of Principles for sensorineural hearing loss, within the 30 days immediately before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.
14532 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and VEA service for the clinical worsening of sensorineural hearing loss.
14535 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and operational service for the clinical worsening of sensorineural hearing loss.
or
14536 the veteran has established the causal connection between the acute viral infection and eligible service for the clinical worsening of sensorineural hearing loss.
Clinical onset and operational service [14533]
14539 the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related to operational service.
Clinical onset and eligible service [14534]
14540 the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related to eligible service.
Clinical worsening and operational service [14535]
14539 the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related to operational service.
14541 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related.
Clinical worsening and eligible service [14536]
14540 the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related to eligible service.
14542 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of eligible service to which the identified illness or injury, an acute viral infection, is causally related.
