Renin-secreting neoplasm
Hypertension - Renin-secreting neoplasm Factor
A renin secreting neoplasm is a neoplasm that secretes a proteolytic enzyme (renin) synthesised, stored and secreted by certain cells of the kidney. Renin converts angiotensinogen to angiotensin I.
If a veteran or member had a renin secreting neoplasm he or she would have needed significant medical attention at some time. Such medical treatment would normally be recorded in doctors' notes and/or hospital records. However, these records may have been destroyed or can no longer be obtained. Therefore, if the veteran or member gives a history of a renin-secreting neoplasm at a particular time and relevant medical notes cannot be obtained, you should seek medical advice to decide whether the claimed symptoms and treatment at that time can be attributed to a renin-secreting neoplasm or to some other condition.
