Last reviewed for CCPS 01 August 1995.
Preliminary questions [10354]
10265 there is some evidence that a dental procedure for which the instruments were not sterilised may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.
10266 the veteran has had a dental procedure with unsterilised instruments at some time.
10392 the veteran had a dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised.
10394 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the dental procedure and VEA service for the clinical onset of hepatitis D.
10395 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the dental procedure and operational service for the clinical onset of hepatitis D.
or
10396 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the dental procedure and eligible service for the clinical onset of hepatitis D.
Clinical onset and operational service [10395]
the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised, was given on operational service. the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised, was given on operational service, as a causal result of operational service. the receipt of the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D for which the instruments were not sterilised, on operational service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised, was given for treatment of an illness or injury which is identifiable.11001 — the identified illness or injury for which the dental procedure with unsterilised instruments was given is causally related to operational service.
Clinical onset and eligible service [10396]
the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised, was given on eligible service. the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D, for which the instruments were not sterilised, was given on eligible service, as a causal result of eligible service duties. the receipt of the dental procedure more than 3 weeks before the clinical onset of hepatitis D for which the instruments were not sterilised, on eligible service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
