Preliminary questions [38105]
there is some evidence that using cocaine or amphetamines may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.38107 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and VEA service for cardiomyopathy.
38108 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and VEA service for the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy.
38110 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and operational service for the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy.
or
38111 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and eligible service for the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy.
or
7334 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service.
the condition under consideration permanently worsened.38109 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and VEA service for the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy.
38112 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and operational service for the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy.
or
38113 — the veteran has established the causal connection between using cocaine or amphetamines and eligible service for the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy.
Clinical onset and operational service [38110]
the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on operational service. on operational service, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on operational service at the time of the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives was due to an illness or injury which is identifiable. as a result of the identified illness or injury, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.38120 — the identified illness or injury, as a result of which the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives, is causally related to operational service.
Clinical onset and eligible service [38111]
the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service. on eligible service, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service at the time of the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service at the time of the clinical onset of cardiomyopathy occurred as a causal result of eligible service.or
the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives was due to an illness or injury which is identifiable. as a result of the identified illness or injury, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.38121 — the identified illness or injury, as a result of which the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives, is causally related to eligible service.
Clinical worsening and operational service [38112]
the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on operational service. on operational service, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on operational service at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on operational service at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy occurred as a causal result of operational service.or

the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the identified illness or injury, as a result of which the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives, is causally related.Clinical worsening and eligible service [38113]
the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service. on eligible service, the veteran used cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline. the veteran's use of cocaine, amphetamines or amphetamine derivatives on eligible service at the time of the clinical worsening of cardiomyopathy occurred as a causal result of eligible service.or
