Preliminary questions [10454]
there is some evidence that a trauma to the pancreas may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.10477 the veteran has suffered a trauma to the pancreas at some time.
the veteran has suffered a trauma to the pancreas which resulted in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas. the trauma to the pancreas resulted in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis.10480 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the trauma to the pancreas and VEA service for the clinical onset of chronic pancreatitis.
10481 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the trauma to the pancreas and operational service for the clinical onset of chronic pancreatitis.
or
10482 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the trauma to the pancreas and eligible service for the clinical onset of chronic pancreatitis.
Clinical onset and operational service [10481]
on operational service, the veteran suffered a trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis. the trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis, on operational service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the veteran suffered a trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis as a consequence of an illness or injury which is identifiable.10486 — the identified illness or injury which caused the trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas is causally related to operational service.
Clinical onset and eligible service [10482]
on eligible service, the veteran suffered a trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis. on eligible service, as a causal result of eligible service duties, the veteran suffered a trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis. the trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis, on eligible service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the veteran suffered a trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas at the time of the clinical onset of the chronic pancreatitis as a consequence of an illness or injury which is identifiable.10490 — the identified illness or injury which caused the trauma to the pancreas resulting in complete or partial obstruction of the ductal system draining the secretions of the exocrine pancreas is causally related to eligible service.
