Establishing exposure to an antigenic stimulus causing asthma

Possible sources of exposure to an antigenic stimulus that caused the first episode of asthma would have been investigated by the attending medical officer and recorded in clinical notes.

The hotword List of antigenic stimuli reported to have caused asthma lists substances that have been identified as causing asthma.  This information is also available on internet web sites such as:

http://www.remcomp.com/asmanet/asmapro/jobs.htm (this site has links to further details including published references)

http://www.haz-map.com/OA.htm

If, after checking these sources you need assistance in establishing whether or not a particular antigenic stimulus meets the RMA definition of antigenic stimulus causing asthma, contact the Decision Support Unit (DSU).  Contact details are included in the DSU intranet web site:

Additional information about the scope and nature of various service occupations is contained in Physical requirements, duties, and workplace hazards of specific military occupations.
