Open-angle glaucoma - Vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema Factor

The SOP factor ‘suffering vitreal haemorrhage, hyphema or intraocular surgery’ is covered by two CCPS contentions. Intraocular surgery is covered by the intraocular surgery or penetrating keratoplasty contention while vitreal haemorrhage and hyphema are covered by the intraocular haemorrhage contention.

PRELIMINARY QUESTIONS [26742]

26743 there is some evidence that a vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.

26744 the condition under consideration is a ghost cell glaucoma.

26745  the veteran has suffered from a vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema at some time.

26753 the veteran has suffered a vitreal haemorrhage at some time.

or

26754 the veteran has suffered a post operative hyphema at some time.

or

26755 the veteran has suffered a traumatic hyphema at some time.

26746 the identified illness or injury, a vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema, involved side and site of the body.

26747 the veteran suffered the identified illness or injury, a vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema involving side and site of the body, before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

26748  the veteran has established the causal connection between the vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema and VEA service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

26749   the veteran has established the causal connection between the vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema and operational service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

or

26750   the veteran has established the causal connection between the vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema and eligible service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

26751  the identified illness or injury, a vitreal haemorrhage or hyphema involving side and site of the body, is causally related to operational service.
