Trauma for lumbar spondylosis

The lumbar spine is the lower part of the spine from below the rib cage to the sacrum.

Trauma to the lumbar spine means any type of discrete physical injury [such as a hit, blow, knock, twisting, bending or crushing injury] to the lower back, and specifically includes G-force induced injury. It also includes penetrating injuries to the lower back as may occur with projectiles such as bullets and shrapnel. Trauma does not include activities such as carrying heavy packs or weight lifting in the gym unless a specific injury occurred during the performance of such activities, eg slipping or falling while carrying a pack.
