In the Statement of Principles for chronic sinusitis the RMA has specified that only the following substances can possibly cause or aggravate chronic sinusitis:

  • Ammonia gas
  • Chlorine gas
  • Cocaine
  • Lewisite
  • Mustard gas
  • Nitrogen dioxide
  • Sulphur dioxide
