Actions arising from Report D

Report D:  “Clients discharged” will be produced on a daily basis.

The clients discharged report should be examined to ensure that DVA has been advised of each person's departure from aged care.

Where a discharge reason of death is included for a person, and the method of assessment column shows a method of assessment 98 (ie that the person's pension has been cancelled) or death action has been registered, DVA has obviously been advised of the death.  No further investigation is required.

Where advice has not yet been received, however, further action will be required depending on the reason for discharge.    More
