Time limit for decision on appeal
The Aged Care Act 1997 requires that a decision be made within 90 days of the lodgment of an appeal or supply of additional information requested by the Department.
If no decision is made within the time frame, the legislation includes provision for the appeal to be referred to the AAT for a decision.
