Transitional Provisions For Age 65 And Over
Former employees who were already 65 on 01/12/1988 had their benefits frozen at their 1971 Act rate.
There is no requirement for these employees to demonstrate any continuing incapacity for work.
This makes these claims simple to administer - benefits are paid at the same weekly amount until death, unless of course there is evidence that the compensable condition may have resolved (in which case, the ongoing entitlement may be reviewed).
