3.5.2 Term Transaction

Only the date is necessary for the term transaction and should always be the same as that contained in the cease transaction.

The payees record will continue to appear on the microfiche for three pays after the pay in which the termination date is processed.  The record will then be retained within the system until the end of the financial year, at which time the record will be deleted.  The system will accept current adjustment entries of entitlements for a record that has been termed, provided the entries result in a nil or positive net pay.  Status entries such as change of address may also be entered.  Transactions for basic amounts will be rejected unless the term transaction has been reversed.
