The Payment Path
When incapacity determinations are issued for most employees, the incapacity determination screen ('CIND') will show 'RAGCY'.
This code indicates that ultimately, we will reimburse the customer for money they initially pay to the employee for incapacity (exceptions being pre-premium, off budget claims).
When the employee becomes a direct payee, the determination screen will show the payment going to the employee ('DIRP'). The reimbursement process then no longer occurs.
After setting up an employee as a direct payee, when a determination is issued, it will be paid to the employee just as it was entered onto PRACSYS. While care should always be taken with determining entitlements, when issuing any direct payment determination, even greater care should be taken.
