A Diary To Remind About Settlement Progress
While still in the Claims Management menu, it is critical that a diary be created as a reminder to review settlement progress every two to three months.
Claim related diaries can be created from two distinct areas, however the most common method is through the 'FLOC' (Amend Claim File Location) function.
This function is used to record file movements both within the office and interstate. There is a distinct section on the screen to create diaries for the claim.
The 'Diary Reminder' section is the area relevant to diary creation.
|
FIELD |
DESCRIPTION |
|
Diary Reminder |
This field defaults to 'N' (No) as many file movements occur without the need to create diaries. To generate a diary, the field should be changed to 'Y' (Yes). |
|
User Id |
The User Id field defaults to the user ID of the person currently logged on. While other staff IDs may be entered, in most cases, the diary being generated will be required by the user creating the diary record. |
|
Days OR Date |
An amount of days or a date may be nominated for the diary to appear at the base of the user's Application menu. The maximum amount of time that a diary such as this can be generated is 366 days. |
|
Comments |
Comments must be entered when creating a diary from the 'FLOC' screen. These indicate what the diary is about and why it has been generated. |
