Ex-employees
As former employees of the Commonwealth, this group is no longer tied to the employer's salary system.
To ensure efficient payment of benefits for incapacity, ex-employees are set up on PRACSYS as direct payees. This means they are paid by the Department of Finance (DoF).
Different procedures are required on PRACSYS to cater for these employees. Not only is payment made using a different source, overpayments and recoveries are undertaken using PRACSYS design-specific mechanisms.
