Rule 4:

If more than one specific part of the body can be coded against the nature of injury, use the appropriate multiple location code.
Rule 5:

Amputations are to be coded to the site of the amputation, not to the parts of the body that have been amputated.

Loss of a finger should be coded as the hand (site), and not as a finger (part of the body). |
