A number of initiatives form the basis of the Model.

They are:

• focusing on occupational rehabilitation;

• instigating early intervention processes;

• providing co-ordination of rehabilitation in the workplace;

• assisting to quickly and safely return the employee to work;

• undertaking consistent and frequent consultation with all key parties; and

• using the workplace as the rehabilitation base.
