The 'Cannot Automatically Update' Diary

Generally, where a Normal Weekly Earnings figure is altered, an automatic process will update any period of incapacity that is affected by the new rate change.

If the process has not succeeded, usually as a result of not being able to update a record that was manually calculated, this diary will specify which period did not update, advising that the determination must be corrected.

There may be many diaries issued for one claim, where a number of separate determinations cover the new NWE figure.

Another point to remember is that any period of incapacity covered by the update where there are 'actual earnings' (usually for a period of Graduated Return to Work or reduced earnings), will also result in this diary being issued.
