Shift work
Shift rotation can affect an employee's NWE from pay period to pay period.
In this situation, the NWE will not accurately represent the correct entitlement if the normal 2 week relevant period is used. To correctly assess an employee's earnings, the relevant period becomes 12 weeks or the period of the shift rotation, whichever is less.

Example |
|
An employee alternately works 2 weeks on night shift, and 2 weeks on day shift. |
|
The relevant period is 4 weeks in this case. |
