In the past, payment for redemptions has been made using the 'CCI.CM' (Create Claim Invoice) function, with the employee receiving money direct by cheque.  At that time, no advice had been received from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) that redemptions should be taxed.

Since April 1995, following advice from the ATO, the method of paying redemptions changed on PRACSYS.  Payments are now correctly made using 'CIND.CM' (Create Incapacity Determination).
