Redeployment/grtw cases
Where an employee is redeployed or on a graduated return to work, is in receipt of 'top up' compensation and injures him or herself again, the following applies:
An employee is injured but has returned to work on a GRTW in the first 45 weeks. |
Earnings are being 'topped up' to the 100% NWE figure, which is $472. |
The employee is then further injured and is unable to work at all. As the NWE for the first claim is $472, this also applies to the second claim. |
The same principle applies to redeployed employees. While earnings are taken into account, should total incapacity from a new injury occur, the full 100% NWE figure from the first claim will be the appropriate incapacity entitlement.
