Manual closure

Parameters for manual closure are much less rigid than those for the automatic process. This is because, with manual closure, a conscious decision is being made about claim circumstances and the likelihood of further activity.

Current manual parameters are:

  • the liability status must not be undetermined;

  • there must not be any diaries present (current or future) for the claim;

  • there must be no outstanding recoveries for the claim;

  • the claim must not have any open Return to Work plans; and

  • there must not be any undetermined invoices or incapacities for the claim.
