Student Reviews

Where a weekly payment is being made under section 17 (5), reviews are necessary when the child:

  • turns 16; and

  • is between 16 and 25 and pursuing studies. This review is important to establish whether the child:

  • continues to meet the definition of 'prescribed child' under the Act and therefore continues to qualify for payments under section 17 (5); and

  • is still wholly or mainly dependent.
