AVERAGE WEEKLY ORDINARY TIME EARNINGS OF FULL-TIME ADULTS (AWOTEFA) UPDATE
- Sub-section 19(5) of the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 provides for a ceiling on weekly compensation payments for incapacity for work after the first 45 weeks. We have only recently been provided with details of the February increase. A further increase is expected this month. National Office will advise MCRS staff as soon as possible.
- The ceiling is 150% of the AWOTEFA which is updated quarterly by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Details of changes to the AWOTEFA since and including March 1994 are as follows:

Amendment Action
- Remove MCRI Number 4 Amendment 18 dated January 2003 and replace with MCRI Number 4 Amendment 19.
