NEL Table 2 - Loss of Amenities

Table 2 in Part B of the Approved Guide states:

LOSS OF AMENITIES

Loss of amenities is also known as loss of enjoyment of life.

A score out of 5 is assessed for each of the following:

.mobility;

.social relationships; and

.recreation and leisure activities.

These are then combined with the scores from Tables 1, 3 and 4 using the combined value calculation (Table 5).

Concerns the employee's capacity to engage in usual social and personal relationships

Minor interference with personal relationships, causing some reduction in social activities and contacts

Relationships confined to immediate and extended family and close friends, but unable to relate to casual acquaintances.

Difficulties relating socially to anyone

The other scores in Table 2 are for Mobility and for Recreation and Leisure Activities.
