Whether the client has been paid the employer benefit is relevant to the application of the superannuation rules (ss 20, 21, 21A) which provide that a client's weekly incapacity compensation may be reduced if the client receives superannuation benefits under a superannuation scheme.  When the client receives payment of the employer benefit, it is necessary to calculate the relevant amount of reduction in weekly compensation.
