Currently this version of the module only provides a legislative framework for the determination of initial liability claims and as such does not provide rulebase support for some of the issues required to be addressed by assessors in Defence advices and instructions.  Some of these issues are dealt with in commentary.

This mandatory question has been included to ensure that the reasons for the assessor's recommendation with some reference to the medical and factual evidence are stated.

The investigation outcome, the final recommendation and these reasons are then displayed in the Word report generated by the module.

If initial liability is to be denied, the assessor should make reference to the discussion of “Denying or Ceasing Liability”, including the client's right to reconsideration of the determination.
