The original weekly amount of superannuation pension is relevant to the operation of the superannuation rules (ss 20, 21 & 21A) which, in certain circumstances, provide for a reduction in weekly incapacity compensation where a retired client receives superannuation benefits.

In the case of a Reservist client, the only relevant superannuation benefits will be those paid under a Commonwealth superannuation scheme such as the CSS or PSS schemes or the superannuation scheme of a Commonwealth statutory authority or corporation.
