The receipt of the superannuation productivity benefit may reduce the amount of weekly compensation paid to a retired client because of the operation of the superannuation rules in relation to lump-sum benefits (ss 21, 21A).  Where the superannuation rules do apply, 100% of the productivity benefit is treated as an employer benefit and is thus taken into account in reduction of weekly incapacity compensation.
