Relevance of this question
During the first 45 weeks of incapacity, compensation is paid at a rate based on normal weekly earnings. This 45 week period may be consecutive, where the client is continuously incapacitated for the whole period, or it may extend over many separate periods of incapacity, interspersed with periods of full return to work.
This question is asking whether the client was continuously incapacitated for the duration of the period being assessed.
If the person has been continuously incapacitated for the period under assessment, the Incapacity Calculator will automatically calculate the length of incapacity for the purposes of determining the first 45 weeks in the Summary Report.
If the person was not continuously incapacitated, the Calculator may require the user to provide information about the period of incapacity as was the case prior to the implementation of version 4.05 of the Incapacity Calculator.
