AVERAGE WEEKLY ORDINARY TIME EARNINGS of FULL-TIME ADULTS (AWOTEFA) UPDATE (as at 17/5/96)

1.Subsection 19(5) of the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 provides for a ceiling on weekly compensation payments for incapacity for work after the first 45 weeks.

2.The ceiling is 150% of the AWOTEFA which is updated quarterly by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Details of changes to the AWOTEFA since March 1994 are as follows:
