9.6.5 AAT and Federal Court

9.6.5.1Where a person is unhappy with an SSAT decision they may apply to the AAT within 28 days of the SSAT decision being handed down. For more information refer to this manual's Section 9.2.3 Administrative Appeals Tribunal in this chapter.

9.6.5.2Decisions made by the AAT are binding on the parties concerned. However, either party may appeal a decision of the AAT to the Federal Court, but only on a question of law. Refer to this manual's Section 9.2.4 Federal and High Courts.
