1.4.5 Recovering Centrelink debts

Authorised debts being recovered on behalf of another department or agency require DVA to institute ongoing recovery action by imposing withholdings on entitlements being paid under the VEA (for example, against Disability Compensation Payments). DVA is responsible for monitoring recovery of the overpayment and negotiating the rate of recovery where necessary.
