Purpose
To provide guidelines for the assessment of the LOE Allowance in cases involving:
- Self employed persons.
- Rest and recuperation.
- Sick leave provisions.
- The amount of lost earnings.
In addition, information on the differences between LOE and the Temporary Special Rate (TSR) of disability pension are included to guide assessors on which payments may best meet the needs of the veteran or member.
