The Committee also met with:

  • Warrant Officer Peter Hind OAM, Deputy Director of the Military Claims Liaison Office — Air Force, during the Committee's visit to RAAF Base Amberley on 9 November 2009;
  • Mr John Burrows, Senior Adviser/Advocate of the Australian Special Air Services Association, during the Committee's visit to Campbell Barracks on 9 December 2009;
  • Mr Mark Burgess, Chief Executive Officer of the Police Federation of Australia, and Mr Norm Webber of the United Nations Police Association of Australia, on 12 February 2010; and
  • Mr Andrew Podger, Chair of the Committee for the Review of Military Superannuation on 29 March 2010.

Meetings were also held with the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Government Actuary.

Public meetings

The public meetings were widely advertised and those wishing to speak were asked to pre-register. Attendees on the day were also invited to speak.
