10.12.5 Modifying a motor vehicle

An eligible person is entitled to motor vehicle modifications if all of the following apply: 

  • the person owns or has use of a motor vehicle; 

  • The vehicle is roadworthy and capable of being modified; 

  • The person cannot, in a safe manner, drive or be transported in the vehicle unless the vehicle is modified; 

  • Any person with an interest in the motor vehicle (if any) consents to the vehicle being modified 

 

An ‘interest’ in a motor vehicle means a joint interest in the motor vehicle or other interest but does not include an interest as a mortgagor.
