Notes:
For service prior to 7 Dec 1972 members are covered under SRCA (and its predecessors) for Peacetime Service and the VEA for Operational and Peacekeeping Service. There was no provision for Hazardous Service. ^In 1997 the VEA introduced the new classifications of warlike and non-warlike service, which replaced operational, hazardous and peacekeeping service for prospective declarations. These classifications remain under the MRCA. *Reservists are covered under the SRCA (or its predecessors) or MRCA depending on their dates of service. Reservists who convert to CFTS will be covered under the relevant section above depending on their type of service (eg. Non-warlike) for that period.
