3.5.4 Domicile
Overview
A person who served in the forces of a Commonwealth country or Allied country but was domiciled in Australia or an external territory immediately before enlistment or appointment in those forces is entitled to claim Disability Compensation Payment and receive medical treatment at departmental expense. To be eligible for service pension such a person must also satisfy the qualifying service requirements applicable to a member of a Commonwealth force or an Allied force.
