11.3.3 Retirement for members of a Commonwealth-funded superannuation scheme

Persons receiving incapacity payments or SRDP benefits must advise the MRCC of their membership in any Commonwealth-funded superannuation scheme.

Chapter 6.5 of this manual outlines what constitutes 'Commonwealth superannuation' under the MRCA, which in essence is any superannuation scheme into which the Commonwealth has contributed funds on a member's behalf.

The obvious examples are the Military Superannuation and Benefits Scheme (MSBS), Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits Scheme (DFRDB), the Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme (CSS) and the Public Sector Superannuation Scheme (PSS).
