1.9.2 The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988
The SRCA is the legislation under which rehabilitation, compensation and treatment is provided to Australian Government employees who suffer injury or disease as a result of their employment. It also provides compensation for their eligible dependants for work-related death. This includes ADF peacetime service from 1 December 1988 until 1 July 2004 and warlike and non-warlike service between 7 April 1994 and 1 July 2004. The DVA administers the SRCA as it relates to ADF service.
