Manual cancellations of rent assistance needed to be effected for payday

9 October 1997 for the following groups:

  • pensioners who have entered an approved aged care facility in the last 6 weeks.  This group's details were not included on the data matching tape due to delays in new admissions appearing on the tape (instructions on dealing with this group were issued separately);
  • pensioners who are residing in exempt nursing homes (see below) and thus were not included on the data matching tape (a listing of these was sent out previously for manual action); and
  • new admissions to approved aged care facilities who have rent assistance in payment.
